The Sara Brown Band performs classic R&B and Soul music from 1960's & 1970's along with their own collection of original songs. Having sold almost 400 copies of their debut Extended Play CD Single - Lay Me Right Down, the band is heading back to the studio for a full length album. On October 2011, Sara Brown was nominated for Best Female Blues Singer and Best Female Blues Performer by the Inland Empire Blues Society. Playing over 50 shows a year, the band continues to pack clubs and festivals across the Inland Northwest. Critic’s claim that Sara’s powerful voice is reminiscent of Aretha Franklin and Billie Holiday.
Their music receives regular air play on 98.9 FM Spokane's KKZX Blowtorch Blue’s show with Ted Todd & Brion Foster and 88.1 FM & 92.3 FM Spokane's KYRS Blues Now and Then show with Patrick Henry and Jerry Peterson.
